In the Beginning I started Mari Shepherds in 1978 at Owatonna, Minnesota. My love for the German Shepherd Dog, I wanted to develop a quality and respected line, while maintaining the Standard of the breed. |

My first German Shepherd Dog was
Ch Rollingreen's Silky Sullivan TC = Sully. Thus, the start of Mari Shepherd's. I strive to maintain the the tradition of excellence and the winning edge. |

The "R Team" was born on May 8, 1985. There were nine in the litter and it included the following three dogs: Mari's Restless Windy OFA CD TC CGC (12 Am Ch pts)= Windy, Ch Mari's Reagan OFA TC= Ruler. Ch Mari's Regency TC= Regency.
Doing what others said could not be done,: being the breeder, owner, and handler, of a dog, all the way from the dogs 1st points to its 15th point and its championship. I took Ruler (Ch Mari's Reagan OFA TC). to winning a Best Puppy, the first time in the ring together, and continued all the way to the championship title with a Best of Winners, a 5 point finish! We were an unbeatable team. The rest is the history of Mari Shepherds.
